I always feel very strange when I think that despite being in the age of technology and digital governance, we often overlook the enormous potential of government jobs and opportunities in the IT field. It is not fair to compare the numbers with the number of opportunities in the private sector. Although the number is very small, it cannot be ignored.

Government jobs

There are many government organizations where there are jobs for computer science graduates and people don’t even know. I will definitely list some of these jobs to the best of my knowledge.

I will divide the list into two parts:

1. Public sector companies (UPM) (central and state)

2. Jobs in the central government

But the basic eligibility criteria require a master’s degree in computer science.

In addition government jobs in India, you always have the freedom to advance towards master’s and doctorate degrees and enter as an assistant professor at IIT, NITS, IIITS and other central government educational institutions.

This list is to the best of my knowledge and there are many more government organisations that recruit computer science graduates from time to time. The hiring process for each of them is different.

Some call you through the GATE test, some take their test, some recruit through both. It is also important to mention that hiring is completely dependent on vacancies.

It may happen that in a particular year you find them all recruiting in large numbers at once. Vacancysquare, and next year there may be a shortage of vacancies.
